Urban Hope Kids offers an opportunity for little ones to experience God hands on. Each week we will explore the many ways God shows us His love, and give our kids the tools to build their own relationship with Him through worship, Bible stories, games and fun with each other and leaders. We believe so much can be accomplished with a solid foundation in Christ. By teaching the truth of the Word and the never ending love of our Father, we can prepare our little ones for fulfilling and joyous Christ driven lives.

Lexy grew up in White Salmon Washington and came to Flagstaff in 2016 to earn her bachelor's degree in communication and public relations at NAU. She is now an Intern and member of the School of Ministry at Urban Hope church. Lexy grew up in a family of teachers and coaches, always having a passion for the youth. She is now our Kids Church Director and helps her husband Alex Ellifritz with our Young Adults ministry. Lexy is passionate about encouraging the younger generation to stand firm in their faith. She wants to equip each student to learn how to share the good news of the gospel with all their friends and everyone they meet. “This next generation will be a generation on fire and in love with God."

Our Sundays are designed for the entire family! Urban Hope Kids’ programs are available every week. Currently  we have three age groups, Babies (Ages 0-24 months), Little Kiddos (Ages 2-4 years) and Big Kiddos (Ages 5-10 or K-5th Grade).

During service children can enjoy a short fellowship/play time followed by fun games, worship, teaching, snack and a craft all centered around an age appropriate Bible lesson. Our lessons our completely designed by Orange. This app and kids driven curriculum is designed specifically for them! And the best part is, by the end of completing Orange, they will have gone through the bible nearly 6 times!

Urban Hope Church now meets at our brand new state of the art location at 1633 S Plaza Way, Flagstaff AZ 86001. Our Kids building is located directly next door to the Urban Hope Main enterance.

 We strive to make the kids check in and check out as easy and quick as possible.

Ages 0-5th Grade can check in at 1 of 2 Apple Ipads check-in stations located in Kids Church lobby. Just look for the sign that says "Check In".

Throughout the building are security cameras and someone from our security team is always watching them. Children’s church volunteers and security communicate through ear piece walkie-talkies during service.

Background checks: Every volunteer interacting with a minor is required to clear a background check prior to serving. They also complete official training from Urban Hope Church.

Every Sunday our kids have the opportunity to earn "Jesus Bucks". They earn these by doing things like, memorizing scripture, bringing their Bible, and bringing a friend to church.

Kids can redeem their Jesus Bucks in The Shop at the end of service or save up and get something really special.

We use this as a way to help cultivate engagement with the kids and of course because it's fun. 

For our older kids, we've created the GAME ZONE! This special area features Nintendo Switches loaded with games for our kids to enjoy before service.

It's a great way for them to have fun, and make new friends before service starts.
